Jetblue employee made me loose my flight

Hello my name is Elsie Salas and I was booked on flight 725 from JFK to BQN today at 5:40 am I got there about 4:45 am. While waiting on a long line at about 5:10 am there was a call for my flight, a jetblue worker came towards me and I told him I was on that flight he told me to wait beacuse there were only 4 people ahead of me and that I would make my flight. Well, when I finally made it to the counter at about 5:15, the gentelman told me that flight was closed. Had the employee taken me to the front when the call was made I would have made my flight, which in my case was a family emergency. I was booked for the next flight leaving at 11:29 pm that same day, and of course missing my emergency family meeting concerning my 92 year old mom.
I am very unhappy and disappointed with how they handled this situation.
Will think about it twice before booking another flight with jetblue.

This just happend with me on my UFV flight to JFK. The incompetent staff dilly dallied around until it was too late for me to board finally. There was ample time to board the flight> but because JetBlues staff does not take customer service seriously- I was bumped off the flight. Then, because of the misdirection, was offered a reschedule to turn up on the next days flight. When the incompetent worker was attempting to resolve this, initiating a waived transfer for the next day flight, he realized that he could not get through the system to complete the process with out an authorization code from his manager. This manager was not even on the premises! No where to be found and not answering her cell phone- so after 3 hours of waiting around and being sent in circles, I demanded to speak to the US headquarters and called the 1800 number. I was told by them that their hands were tied to waive the fees from that agle and that Id either have to locate the missing manager- or Id have to pay $150x2 (for my mother an I) to reschedule. I asked to be rescheduled for that moday when I could get another ride to the airport and even though I was paying a change fee they refused to be flexible and only allowed me to sit on the next days vacant seats..I ended up spending 4 hours extra at the airport trying to sort this out 300$ extra dollars for a change fee on a flight not of my choosing, and an addition 100$ in taxi fares and 300$ in hotel stay. The incompetent staff at the airport shut down the desk and so I still had to go back "home" and finish sorting out the arrangements. I WILL NEVER FLY WITH JETBLUE AGAIN.. they can take their "true blue membership" and SHOVE IT up their butt.. ( I hope they go out of business)
